Family Foods was first started in Oct. of 1964 By Don Goetz and has now grown to include three generations of the Goetz Family. Don moved to Tipton from Burlington Iowa where he purchased his first store from Benner Tea Company where he was working at the current time. The store had several name changes over the years: Don's Big Value, Giant Foods, and finally Family Foods. We purchased Bud's Super Valu in 1985 and moved to the current store location of 610 Cedar Street. The store was remodeled and expanded in 1990 and again in 2015. Don's son Mike purchased the store from Don in 2010 and Brad, Mike's son is now an assistant and part owner. We have been blessed with very good associates many have been part of our team 20 to 35 years.
